The Silent Conductor, Steve Barnett, is regarded as one of the world’s top conference presenters. Without words and through rhythm and humour, his energy and enthusiasm creates a remarkable event that is the finest musical, interactive experience that South Africa has to offer. He is dedicated to the philosophy of music and making it part of the way organisations and communities operates.
Steve has been the ‘Non-Speaker’ on the Conference Speakers circuit for the past 16 years and has conducted audiences at the Royal Albert Hall in London and at the opening ceremony of the Cricket World Cup at Newlands, Cape Town, where he “whipped the audience into a frenzy”, as the Sunday Times put it. He has shared his experience in over 40 countries and shared the podium with such luminaries as Desmond Tutu, Bill Clinton, and Nelson Mandela.
Steve supplies simple musical instruments for each audience member and they make music under the direction of his baton. He conducts without speaking – but his presentation says volumes – about leadership, co-operation, communication and celebration.
